BAI2 may be involved in angiogenesis inhibition. It has a similar structure to BAI1 which is a seven-span transmembrane protein. BAI2 is strongly expressed in brain but it is also detected in heart, thymus, skeletal muscle, and diferent cell lines. It is a multi-pass membrane protein. It belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family and it contains one GPS domain as well as four TSP type-1 domains. |
