| Antigen: |
A partial recombinant protein of human ALK (amino acids 251 to 351) with a GST tag. |
| Other Names: |
ALK tyrosine kinase receptor [Precursor], Anaplastic lymphoma kinase, CD246 antigen |
| Accession: |
ALK_HUMAN |
| Description: |
ALK tyrosine kinase receptor plays an important role in the normal development and function of the nervous system. It phosphorylates at the first tyrosine of the Y-x-x-x-Y-Y motif. The unprocessed precursor is 1620 amino acids long and has an estimated molecular weight of 17.64KDa. It exists as a homodimer when bound to ligand. It is expressed in the brain and CNS as well as in the small intestine and testis. Abnormalities in the ALK gene have been associated with several diseases including a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) and with anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALCL). It belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, Tyr protein kinase family, insulin receptor subfamily. |
| Produced in: |
Mouse |
| Purity: |
Protein G purified immunoglobulin |
| Applications: |
This anitbody is reccommended for WB and ELISA. |
| Specificity: |
The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB detection of the partial recombinant ALK tyrosine kinase receptor protein with the GST tag. |
| Cross-react: |
Human. This antibody has not been tested on other species. |
| Blast it: |
If you would like to see the shared identity between different species or other proteins, follow the link in the Accession field, select the sequence (make sure that you are selecting the sequence that you are interested in, as the sequence may be the precursor rather than the mature protein for example) and copy and paste it HERE and blast/format it. |
| Form: |
Lyophilised mouse IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH7.2, 150mM NaCl. |
| Reconstitution: |
Reconstitute in 100 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. |
| Storage: |
After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20ºC for higher stability or at 4ºC with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles. |
