||Bovine milk may contain two types of beta-casein protein, A2 or A1, which differ by a single-point mutation at amino acid position 82 (P82/H82). Recent studies have shown that milk containing the A1 beta casein protein can contribute to issues including gastrointestinal discomfort after ingestion. There is some evidence of a link between ingestion of A1 beta casein protein and the development of Type 1 diabetes.
PE-1831-20 is A1 beta casein protein that is in its native form and purified from bovine A1/A1 commercial cow's milk collected from cows that are certified BSE and disease free by the manufacture of the milk.
