Neurogenin-1 appears to mediate neuronal differentiation. It requires dimerisation with another basic-helix-loop-helix protein for efficient DNA binding. Its expression is restricted to the embryonic nervous system.

||Reconstitute in 100 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
||After reconstitution keep aliquots at -20ºC for higher stability or at 4ºC with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability. Avoid repetitive freeze/thaw cycles.
