| Unit size: |
50 µg |
| Antigen: |
A synthetic peptide from the C-terminus of rat OMP (amino acids 119-137) conjugated to KLH. The sequence is homologous with mouse and human forms of OMP. |
| Other Names: |
Olfactory neuronal-specific protein |
| Accession: |
OMP_RAT OMP_HUMAN OMP_MOUSE |
| Description: |
OMP localises to the cytoplasm and may act as a modulator of the olfactory signal-transduction cascade. The OMP gene structure and protein sequence are highly conserved between mouse, rat and human. It is uniquely associated with mature olfactory receptor neurons in many vertebrate species from fish to man. |
| Produced in: |
New Zealand white rabbit |
| Purity: |
Affinity purified |
| Applications: |
IHC, WB. A concentration of 0.5-2 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. |
| Specificity: |
The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB. The OMP band is specifically inhibited by the immunising peptide. |
| Cross-react: |
Rat, mouse, and human. Other species have not yet been tested. |
| Form: |
Lyophilised from 0.01M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15mM sodium azide. |
| Reconstitution: |
Reconstitute in 50 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. |
| Storage: |
After reconstituion, keep aliquots at -20ºC for a higher stability and at 4ºC with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
