||The Histamine H3 receptor is a multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. This protein is primarily expressed in the CNS. At least 7 isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. Expression of these isoforms varies with isoform 3 and isoform 7 being highly expressed in the thalamus, caudate nucleus and cerebellum while isoforms 5 and 6 show a poor expression. Isoform 5 and isoform 6 show a high expression in the amygdala, substantia nigra, cerebral cortex and hypothalamus. Isoform 7 is not found in hypothalamus or substantia nigra.

||A synthetic peptide (CPQKLKIQPHSSLEHCWK) corresponding to a region (428-445) from the C-terminus of human Histamine H3 receptor. To enhance the immunological response, this peptide was coupled to carrier protein BSA.
||HH3R; G-protein coupled receptor 97; HRH3; GPCR97;
||Affinity purified on antigen column
||Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 0.75 µg/ml is recommended for WB. Human Histamine H3 receptor (isoform 1) has a predicted length of 445 residues and MW of 49 kDa. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
||The specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB against the antigen.
Predicted to react with mouse due to sequence homology.
||If you wish to use this product in a species other than those specified here and want to determine the amino acid sequence homology between the immunogen and the corresponding protein in that species, simply copy the amino acid sequence for this immunogen and test it on the BLAST database that you can access through the link below. Please note that antibodies raised against synthetic peptides are quite often very specific for that peptide. What this means in practise is that a single amino acid difference may be enough to restrict the specificity to a particular molecule.
The BLAST database can also be used to compare any amino acid sequence between species and between protein. The full amino acid sequence of the target protein can be found by following the link in the Accession field. You can then search any amino acid sequence in the target protein using the BLAST database. When selecting a sequence to search, please choose carefully, as the sequence you choose may be a precursor rather than the mature protein for example.
