| Description |
Bcl-2-like protein 1 is a single-pass membrane protein belonging to the Bcl-2 family of proteins that can act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators. At least 3 isoforms of Bcl-2-like protein 1 are produced by alternative splicing. Isoform Bcl-X(S) is expressed at high levels in cells that undergo a high rate of turnover such as developing lymphocytes and is an activator of apoptosis. |

Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 1.0 µg/ml is recommended for WB. Human Bcl-2-like protein 1 isoform Bcl-X(S) has a predicted length of 170 amino acids and MW of 19 kDa. A concentration of 2.0 µg/ml is recommended to detect the protein in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Heat mediated antigen retrieval is required. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. |
