    Product Info

  • Product Name Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF), Human, Mouse, Rat, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The Mouse CDNF ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a rat monoclonal CDNF antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Mouse test samples and standards of known CDNF concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound CDNF antibody. A biotinylated CDNF goat polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of CDNF present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of mouse CDNF in samples such as culture supernatant, serum, plasma (EDTA) and plasma (Heparin). This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor; ARMET-like protein 1; Conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor; Armetl1;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Mouse CDNF
  • Species Reactivity Mouse
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen for this kit is recombinant mouse CDNF produced in E.coli cells; Immunogen sequence: Q25-L187
  • Range 15.6 pg/mL - 1,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 10 pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.

  • Scientific Background CDNF (conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor) is a trophic factor for midbrain dopamine neurons in vivo. It prevents the 6-OHDA- (Lindholm et al. 20007; Voutilainen et al., 2011) and MPTP-induced degeneration (Airavaara et al., 2012) of dopamine neurons in rodent models of Parkinson's disease. When administered after 6-OHDA or MPTP -lesioning, it restores the dopaminergic function and prevents degeneration of dopamine neurons in substantia nigra pars compacta.
