- Product Description The Mouse Flt3 Ligand ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a rat monoclonal FLT3LG antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Mouse test samples and standards of known Mouse concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound FLT3LG antibody. A biotinylated FLT3LG goat polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of FLT3LG present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of mouse FLT3LG in culture supernatant and serum. This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.

- Scientific Background Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (FLT3LG), is a protein which in humans is encoded by the FLT3LG gene. It is mapped to 19q13.3. Flt-3ligand is a hematopoietic four helical bundle cytokine. It is structurally homologous to stem cell factor(SCF) and colony stimulating factor 1(CSF-1). In synergy with other growth factors, Flt-3ligand stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of various blood cell progenitors (Uniprot).
