The Fluoro-Jade C Ready-to-Dilute Staining Kit: Fluoro Jade C stains all degenerating neurons regardless of specific insult or mechanism of cell death and exhibits the greatest signal to background ratio, as well as the highest resolution. This translates to a stain of maximal contrast and affinity for degenerating neurons. This makes the Fluoro Jade kit ideal for localising degenerating nerve cell bodies as well as distal dendrites, axons and terminals. The dye is highly resistant to fading and is compatible with virtually all histological processing and staining protocols. The Fluoro-Jade C RTD™ kit is also available in a cost-effective trial size.
NEW For large-scale studies, Biosensis now offers Fluoro-Jade C dye in powder format and Fluoro-Jade B dye powder. For past Chemicon and Merck-Millipore customers, our Fluoro-Jade C powder is equivalent to product AG325, and Fluoro-Jade B powder replaces product AG310.
The Black-Gold II Ready-to-Dilute Staining Kit with Toluidine Blue O Counter Stain: This Black Gold kit has been specifically designed to identify normal and pathogenic Myelin. The Black Gold kit allows you to localise myelin, both individual fibres and tracts, along with the option of co-localising cell bodies via the Toluidine Blue counter stain. Black Gold II labelled myelinated fibres appear nearly black while the Toluidine Blue O labelled cellular Nissl bodies are blue under bright field illumination.
The Amylo-Glo Ready-to-Dilute Staining kit: This Amylo-Glo kit has been designed to identify Amyloid Plaques. This novel marker has several advantages over other conventional markers such as Thioflavin S and Congo Red because of its unique chemical and spectral properties. Amylo-Glo® RTD™ is compatible with fresh, frozen, and formalin-fixed immunohistochemistry or cytochemistry.
The HQ-O Ready-to-Dilute Staining kit: Like Amylo-Glo, this tracing reagent identifies Amyloid Plaques in fresh, frozen and formalin-fixed sections. In contrast to Amylo-Glo, spectral properties differ visualizing amyloid plaques with fluorescein emission filter settings making plaques appear green. HQ-O therefore represents an alternative to Thioflavin S, with greater contrast and resolution. The NEW HQ-O Tracing Kit offers additional flexibility for multi-labeling studies with fluorescent-tagged antibodies. The HQ-O kit is also available in a cost-effective trial size.
