    Product Info

  • Product Name Leptin, Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The human Leptin Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a monoclonal human Leptin antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Human test samples and standards of known Leptin concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound Leptin antibody. A biotinylated anti-Leptin antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of Leptin present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative detection of human leptin in culture supernatant, serum, plasma (Heparin) and plasma (EDTA) only when used as directed. Not recommended for tissue lysate detection of leptin.
  • Alternative Names Leptin; Obesity factor; Lep; Ob; Obese protein;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Human Leptin Mouse and rat leptin sequences show >80% amino acid identity with human leptin but direct cross reactivity to rodent or non-human species leptin's with this kit has yet to be tested.
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard used in this kit is recombinant human Leptin, amino acids 22-167 produced in and purified from E. coli.
  • Range 62.5 pg/mL - 4,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 10 pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.
