    Product Info

  • Product Name Oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1 (Lox-1/OLR1), Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The Human OLR1 ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a mouse monoclonal OLR1 antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Rat test samples and standards of known OLR1 concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound OLR1 antibody. A biotinylated OLR1 goat polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of OLR1F present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of human OLR1 in samples such as culture supernatant, cell lysates, serum, plasma (Citrate), plasma (EDTA) and plasma (Heparin). This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names Oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1; Lox-1; C-type lectin domain family 8 member A; Lectin-like oxLDL receptor 1; hLOX-1; Lectin-type oxidized LDL receptor 1; OLR1;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Human OLR1
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen for this kit is recombinant human OLR1. The expression system is NSO; Immunogen sequence: S61-Q273
  • Range 31.2 pg/mL - 2,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 10 pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.

  • Scientific Background LOX-1/OLR1, is a receptor protein that in humans is encoded by the OLR1 gene. LOX-1 mediates the recognition, internalization and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein (oxLDL) by vascular endothelial cells. OxLDL is a marker of atherosclerosis that induces vascular endothelial cell activation and dysfunction, resulting in pro-inflammatory responses, pro-oxidative conditions and apoptosis (Uniprot).
