This antibody reveals a prominent ~21 kDa band and stains mainly in cytoplasm of tissue culture cells. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

HeLa cells stained with Mouse monoclonal antibody to DJ-1 M-1573-100 (green), and Chicken polyclonal antibody to Vimentin C-1409-50 (red) and DNA (blue). M-1573-100 antibody reveals strong cytoplasmic staining for DJ-1.
Whole HeLa cell lysate stained with mouse anti-DJ1 antibody. The antibody recognizes the ~21 kDa protein.

Western blot analysis of whole brain and cell lysates using mouse antibody to DJ1 (green, 1:5,000). [1] protein standard, [2] rat brain, [3] mouse brain, [4] NIH-3T3, [5] HeLa, [6] HEK293, and [7] C6 cells. The antibody detects DJ1 protein with apparent molecular weight of 21 kDa, but only in human cell lines, since it does not recognize the rat or mouse DJ1 protein. The blot was simultaneously probed with chicken antibody to vimentin (C-1409-50, red, 1:5,000), revealing a single band at about 50 kDa (lanes 2-7).
