SpecificityThe specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB and IHC against the antigen. Human
Species ReactivityHuman
Immunogen DescriptionE. coli-derived human ICAM1 recombinant protein (Position: L214-P532).Human ICAM1 shares 52% and 48% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat ICAM1, respectively.
ConjugateUnconjugated
Purity DescriptionAffinity purified on antigen column
Application DetailsImmunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 0.1-0.5 µg/mL is recommended for WB. Human ICAM1 (precursor) has a predicted length of 532 residues and a MW of 58 kDa. A concentration of 0.5-1 µg/mL is recommended to detect ICAM1 in paraffin embedded tissues. Heat mediated antigen retrieval is recommended. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Scientific BackgroundIntercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM1) is a single-pass type 1 membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the ICAM family. ICAM1 is typically expressed on endothelial cells and cells of the immune system. ICAM-1 is also expressed in all types of glial cells including astrocytes and microglia.
Rabbit anti-human iCAM 1 immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections of human intestinal cancer tissue. The antibody was used at a concentration of 1 µg/mL and an anti-rabbit secondary antibody was used at a concentration of 10 µg/mL.
