- Application Details Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 3.5 µg/mL is recommended for WB. The predicted length of human actinin (isoform #1) is 892 residues and a MW of 103 kDa. A concentration of 3.5-7.0 µg/mL is recommended to detect alpha actinin in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Antigen retrieval is required. Also the recommended titre for formalin/acetone fixed tissues. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

- Scientific Background Actinin is a F-actin cross linking protein and is thought to anchor actin to a variety of intracellular structures. At least 4 isoforms of alpha actinin have been found. This antibody reacts specifically with alpha actinin isoform #1.
