    Product Info

  • Product Name CD40 ligand (CD40L), Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The human CD40L Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a polyclonal human CD40L antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Human test samples and standards of known CD40L concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound CD40L antibody. A biotinylated human CD40L polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of CD40L present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of human CD40L in samples such as culture supernatant, serum, plasma (EDTA) and plasma (Heparin). This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names CD40-L; TRAP; gp39; TRAM; CD154; Tumour necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 5; TNFSF5; CD40L;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Human CD40L
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen in this assays is produced in and purified from an The standard and immunogen in this assays is produced in and purified from an E.coli expression system consisting of amino acids expression system consisting of amino acids, E108-L261
  • Range 62.5 pg/mL - 4,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 15 pg/mL

  • Scientific Background CD40L is the ligand for CD40, a member of the tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. CD40L is expressed mainly on activated CD4+ T-lymphocytes as a single-pass type II membrane protein. Proteolytic processing of the membrane form results in a soluble secreted form of CD40L.
