    Product Info

  • Product Name L-selectin, Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The human L-Selectin Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a polyclonal human L-Selectin antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Test samples and standards of known L-Selectin concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound L-Selectin antibody. A biotinylated human polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of L-Selectin present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of human L-Selectin in samples such as culture supernatant, serum, plasma (Citrate), plasma (Heparin) and plasma (EDTA). This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names Lymph node homing receptor; Leukocyte adhesion molecule 1; LAM-1; Leukocyte surface antigen Leu-8; TQ1; gp90-MEL; Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1; LECAM1; CD62L; SELL; LNHR; LYAM1;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Human L-Selectin
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen in this assays is produced in and purified from a mammalian expression system consisting of amino acids W39-N332
  • Range 62.5 pg/mL - 4,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 5 pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.

  • Scientific Background L-selection (CD26L) is a cell surface adhesion protein constitutively expressed on all classes of human leukocytes. The L-Selectin glycoprotein is composed of a C-type lectin family domain at the amino terminus, an EGF-like domain, two short consensus repeat (SCR) sequences, a transmembrane domain and a short cytoplasmic tail. L-Selectin contains 7 potential N- linked glycosylation sites.
