Product DescriptiongoogleThe mouse P-Selectin Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The mouse capture antibody is an anti-mouse P-Selectin antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Mouse test samples and standards of known P-Selectin concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound P-Selectin antibody. A biotinylated anti-mouse P-Selectin antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of P-Selectin present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative detection of mouse P-Selectin in culture supernatant, serum and plasma (Citrate) samples only when used as directed. This assay has not been tested on tissue lysates. This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
Alternative NamesCD62 antigen-like family member P; Granule membrane protein 140; GMP-140; Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 3; LECAM3; Platelet activation dependent granule-external membrane protein; PADGEM; CD62P; SELP; GMRP; GRMP; sP-selectin;
Immunogen DescriptionStandard is recombinant mouse P-selectin, amino acids 42-709 expressed in and purified from a mammalian cell expression system. Amino acids 42-709 represent the ECD domain of mouse P-selectin, so this ELISA will detect primarily soluble P-selectin in its targeted substrates but fully length P-selectin if available could compete as well.
