  • Scientific Background The Bcl-2 family of proteins which regulate apoptosis share identical sequences called Bcl-2 Homology domains (BH1-4). The BH3 proteins, including BID, NOXA, PUMA, BIK, BIM and BAD are all pro-apoptotic and share sequence identity within the amphipathic alpha-helical BH3 region, which is essential for their apoptotic function. NOXA is highly expressed in adult T-cell leukemia cell line.
