SpecificityThe specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB and IHC against the antigen. Human; rat; mouse;
Species ReactivityHuman, Mouse, Rat
Immunogen DescriptionA synthetic peptide corresponding to a region (119-133 aa) from the C-terminus of human Cardiac Fatty Acid Binding Protein (FABP3).
Application DetailsWestern Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). A concentration of 1.0 µg/mL is recommended for WB. Human FABP3 (precursor) has a predicted length of 133 amino acids and MW of 15 kDa. A concentration of 1.0 µg/mL is recommended for IHC to detect the protein in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Heat mediated antigen retrieval is required. A concentration of 1.0 µg/mL is also recommended for IHC in frozen tissue. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Reconstitution InstructionsSpin vial briefly before opening. Reconstitute in 100 µL sterile-filtered, ultrapure water to achieve an antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Storage InstructionsAt least 12 months after purchase at 2-8°C (lyophilized formulations). After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C for a higher stability. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Batch NumberPlease see item label.
Expiration Date12 months after date of receipt (unopened vial).
Scientific BackgroundCardiac Fatty Acid Binding Protein (FABP3) is thought to have a role in the intracellular transport of long-chain fatty acids and their acyl-CoA esters (Ref: SWISSPROT).
Immunohistochemical staining (paraffin) of rat cardiac muscle with Rabbit polyclonal antibody to human Cardiac Fatty Acid Binding Protein (R-1466-100).
