SpecificityThe specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB and IHC against the antigen. Human; mouse; rat;
Species ReactivityHuman, Mouse, Rat
Immunogen DescriptionA synthetic peptide (EFEVIFPERIPQTSRT) corresponding to a region (317-332) from human Heat Shock Protein 40 (HSP40). To enhance the immunological response, this peptide was coupled to carrier protein BSA.
ConjugateUnconjugated
Purity DescriptionAffinity purified on antigen column
Application DetailsImmunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western Blotting (WB). A concentration of 1.0-2.0 µg/mL is recommended for WB. Human HSP40 has a predicted length of 340 residues and MW of 38 kDa. A concentration of 0.5-1.0 µg/mL is recommended to detect the protein in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Antigen retrieval is required. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Scientific BackgroundHeat Shock Protein 40 (HSP40) is a chaperone protein. Heat stress triggers the rapid translocation of HSP40 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. HSP40 interacts with HSP70 and can stimulate its ATPase activity.
