Alternative NamesNFkB p65; Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p65 subunit; RELA; NFKB3;
Application(s)WB
Antibody HostRabbit
Antibody TypePolyclonal
SpecificityThe specificity of this antibody has been confirmed by WB against the antigen. Human
Species ReactivityHuman
Immunogen DescriptionA synthetic peptide (AISQRIQTNNNPFQVP) corresponding to a region (129-144) from human Transcription factor p65. To enhance the immunological response, this peptide was coupled to carrier protein BSA.
ConjugateUnconjugated
Purity DescriptionAffinity purified on antigen column
Application DetailsWestern Blotting (WB). A concentration of 1.0 µg/mL is recommended for WB. Human Transcription factor p65 (isoform p65) has a predicted length of 551 residues and MW of 60 kDa. Biosensis recommends optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Scientific Backgroundp65 is a subunit of the pleiotropic transcription factor nuclear factor kappa B (NFKB). NFKB is present in almost all cell types and is involved in many biological processes including inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumorigenesis and apoptosis. At least 4 isoforms of this protein are produced by alternative splicing.
