    Product Info

  • Product Name Transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha), Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google The human Transforming growth factor (TGF) alpha Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a monoclonal anti-human TGF alpha antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Test samples and standards of known TGF alpha concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound TGF alpha antibody. A biotinylated anti-human polyclonal antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of TGF alpha present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of human TGF alpha in samples such as tant, serum, plasma (Heparin), plasma (EDTA) and human milk. This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names TGF-α; Protransforming growth factor alpha; TGF-alpha; EGF-like TGF; ETGF; TGF type 1;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity TGF alpha. Cross reactivity with TGF Beta 2, TGF Beta 3, and TGF Beta 5 is less than 1%
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen in this assays is produced in and purified from an E.coli expression system consisting of amino acids, V40-A89
  • Range 15.6 pg/mL - 1,000 pg/mL
  • Sensitivity < 1pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.
