    Product Info

  • Product Name Tyrosine Kinase Receptor B (TrkB), Human, ELISA assay
  • Product Description google
    The Human TrkB Kit is a sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is a TrkB antibody pre-coated onto the 96-well strip plates provided in the kit. Human test samples and standards of known TrkB concentration are added to these wells and allowed to complex with the bound TrkB antibody. A biotinylated TrkB antibody is then added. This detection antibody binds to the antigen thus completing the sandwich. After washing, an enzyme Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase complex (ABC) is added which binds to the second antibody. The peroxidase substrate TMB is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of TrkB present in the samples. The purpose of this kit is the in-vitro quantitative determination of human TrkB in samples such as culture supernatant and cell lysates. This kit has been configured for research use only and is not to be used in diagnostic or clinical procedures.
  • Alternative Names Tropomyosin-related kinase receptor; BDNF/NT-3 growth factors receptor; Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 2; TrkB tyrosine kinase; GP145-TrkB/GP95-TrkB; Trk-B; Ntrk2+; Trk-B;
  • Application(s) ELISA
  • Specificity Human. Cross-reacts with mouse and rat TrkB.
  • Species Reactivity Human
  • Immunogen Description The standard and immunogen for this kit is recombinant TrkB produced in and purified from the NSO expression system.
  • Range 0.156 - 10 ng/mL
  • Sensitivity < 10 pg/mL
  • Regulatory Status For research use only.

  • Scientific Background TrkB is a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase family. It is a membrane-bound receptor and upon neurotrophin binding, it phosphorylates itself as well as MAPK pathways members. TrkB is the receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF). It is Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system.
